Time: 1.30pm - 4.00pm
Course Fee: £30.00 + VAT
This half day workshop runs from 1.30 - 4.00 and covers how to create
beautiful flowers using fabric. These flowers can be used as corsages to add
detail to coats and jackets or to add a finishing touch to dress or a bag. The
tutor will help you to create different types of flowers and leaves, for example
gathered flowers and roses. Please feel free to bring along any buttons or old
pieces of costume jewellery that can be used to add the finishing touch to the
flowers.

Basic sewing skills and machine skills. You will have used a commercial pattern previously and know basic seam and construction techniques. |

Average/confident sewing skills – used to using commercial patterns, have a knowledge of pattern marking, good knowledge of the sewing machine and may have used an overlocker. |

Very confident sewing skills, able to work reasonably quickly and accurately with a knowledge of cutting on a bias grain, pattern making and sewing terminology. An ability to recognize pattern shapes. |
