During the 18th century the garment we now call a corset was called a stay.
This workshop will give you the chance to make a stay using an authentic
pattern. However, the techniques we use have been brought up to date. The
bodice produced is a fabulous shape with a deep pointed front panel, shoulder
straps and low neckline with back lacing. This style of bodice is favoured with
many fashion designers and bridal manufacturers.
This workshop is the perfect compliment to Corsets and Bridal.
Material Costs: Approx £40.00, plus 1m of suitable fabric to cover the
stay i.e. dupion.
