Do I need to bring my sewing machine?

No. The School of Sewing supplies sewing machines. We have Janome MC100,  Janome 6700P and Janome 62345 XL overlockers.

Do I need to bring my own sewing equipment?

Yes please. All students do need to bring their own sewing equipment – scissors, pins, needles, tape measures etc. A comprehensive list will be sent to you upon booking

Do I need too bring a packed lunch?

The School of Sewing supplies lots of tea, coffee, squash, cake and biscuits. There are local cafes and shops for lunch or please bring a packed lunch we have a fridge!

Are my sewing skills good enough?

As long as you can use a sewing machine and are familiar with a commercial pattern, we will teach you the rest.

Can I get to you by public transport?

Yes. The nearest railway stations are Loughborough, Tamworth and Burton on Trent, and then you could catch a bus or get a taxi. The nearest airport is East Midlands.

Where can I stay?

There are B & B’s in the town and a Premier Inn. A list of suitable accommodation is sent to you on booking.

Will I have to bring fabrics?

As many of our classes are aimed at getting garments to fit you, we suggest you bring fabric and patterns of your choice with you to certain classes. Full details are sent at the time of booking.
